Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is a structured, time limited, problem focused and goal-oriented type of psychotherapy. It focuses on the here-and-now and problems that come up in daily life. CBT skills and strategies will help you to examine how you make sense of what is happening around you and how these perceptions affect the way you feel.
Evidence suggests that CBT is effective in treating anxiety and depression. CBT is also used to treat bipolar disorder, eating disorders, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, specific phobias and substance use disorder.
