Solution Focused Therapy - places the emphasis on a person’s present situation and goals rather than past experiences. This approach is goal oriented and strives to help you develop tools to use immediately to manage symptoms and cope with challenges. In solution focused therapy YOU are the expert! We will collaborate to envision solutions, or what change would look like and then outline the steps necessary to achieve your goals.
Research has shown that solution focused therapy is effectively used on its own or alongside other therapeutic modalities and may be helpful for youth who are experiencing behavioral concerns or school related concerns. It can also effectively help with family dysfunction and relationship problems.
